Illustration.

Illustration title- She's a Woolen yarn.
Media used- Watercolor and black pen on paper.
The Illustration I did few days back. So, the basic concept is about a girls wandering thoughts, just as complicated as a woolen yarn. Wandering thoughts as butterflies and yarn for intrication, though these are best self explanatory elements.
Have a good day. :)

Plein air

Every weekend is to be a outdoor session with my fellow artists. Last Sunday we all went to Lalbagh, chose our element of interest and practiced watercolor. I wanted to try something challenging, if not the subject then may be the view/perspective. I painted this tree which stood tall above me, i knew that one get perspective right only until  the experience is practical & I'm very bad at it. So, this was challenging and the end result was satisfying as well.

Fly away (tradigital art)

How did i work on this-
On the left- is a illustration made using black gel pen.
On the right- I scanned the illustration and added intense colors to give it a pop look. I used simple default brushes, and burn/dodge tool for some color correction.
So basically i used both traditional and digital technique, hence you can call it a tradigital work(art that combines both traditional and computer-based techniques to create an image.) It was very exciting for me to experiment and play around in PS. I hope you'll enjoy my work as much as i did while creating it.

Another watercolor.

The watercolor i did last night, what's new? the paper that i had never worked on before. My other artist friend suggested me to try different types of paper and paper thickness. So, currently shifting from handmade paper which was about 120 gsm to fabriano watercolor paper, which is 300 gsm.  Damn, so many things in this tiny world and sometimes what looks easy is not so-easy :P I will try posting the tools and techniques that i use for my next upcoming works. Till then celebrate colors of life. Have a good day :)

Charcoal portrait: Rachel Weisz.

Here it is, my second charcoal portrait. Materials used- black and white charcoal powder, 8B staedtler and white glass marker on grey canson paper. Time- approx 4-5 hours.

Birthday roses

It was an elongated birthday celebration this time, and these sweet flowers made it even more special. They are so adorable that i couldn't resist myself from doing a couple of live sketches and watercolor painting. I'm trying my best to save them from dying, its already day-3 and pretty bloomed fully. Hope they stay fresh for few more days.

Plain jane to sassy t-shirt

DIY: transforming old tee into a new one.
Hello :) So, i'm so excited about this, can you ever guess that its a 4 year old tee??  It is so annoying to come across some boring and dead tee's every morning in the wardrobe,  dumping them would be one great job, but then, wait. there's nothing so wrong with them i thought, and tadaaaah! i renewed one, my mum helped me though. Shifting a slight focus from canvas and paper to fabric.
Follow these simple steps and start making your own plain jane to super sassy t-shirt
1. Make tiny flowers- here i have used netted cloth for flowers and placed a tiny kundan stone/ any sort of bead in between to give a better look, stitch them firmly instead of  gluing.
2. Paint- since the print on tee went little dull, to make it look even, i repainted those flowers with yellow acrylic paint to match up. (you can use fabric paint as well, i'm much comfortable with acrylics and they are washable).

3. Cut-  give a round/v-shape cut to the neck and sleeves (how ever you like it).
4. Finishing- give final touches, if you want stitch pipping to neck and sleeves or just stretch them and leave, it looks good that way as well.
5. Become a designer and be proud of it.

Have a good day :)

Charcoal portrait.

For this one i used black and white charcoal on gray canson paper. The other day i was studying about lighting and shading, eventually i came across a video on youtube and thanks to the artist who mentioned that he was using dry brush technique, and that’s how i figured how to easily use charcoal without messing. Well yes! this is my first charcoal portrait, it kind of worked good with me. Some more to experiment in the near future. Excited!!
Feel free to share your thoughts about my works. Have a good day :)

I love the fact that am in total love with sunset/sunrise, boats, sea, nature, colors. Sometimes i keep staring at clouds during sunset only to figure out the colors schemes, which made it look so attractive. I agree, i totally agree to saying which goes "god is a painter, and sky is his canvas".Lots of art works from me are coming up, watch this space. Have a good day. Also visit- http://senacha-neeta.deviantart.com/
